  • Oh, no worries then! I’m totally cool with folks asking small questions but wanted to clear up why i or others dont always give out everything, ever.
I always have a twinge of guilt when i choose not to give out certain special techniques and try so hard to balance boundries with being accessible so i get a weird head about it.

But yeah Monster Clay is good if you are going to make a mold and a cast copy of the piece. It’s more cost effective overall since you can melt the sculpted piece and reuse the wax clay after doing the mold/casts. It also doesn’t contain the sulfates some clays have that can interfere with silicon mold curing.

Oh, please don’t think I was taking it personally! It is disappointing when artists share nothing at all, and I know no one is obligated to! But clues, like you mentioned, are phenomenally helpful.. which is why I only ask small questions, like “what kind of clay do you prefer?” etc. YwY; Sorry if I insulted you at all.. it wasn’t my intention!
I don’t think anyone intends to steal trade secrets, or worse, waste time, but hints and things make the learning process much less wasteful and disheartening.. <3
